it was simone's 53rd birthday on friday...she got a new hip and costco size package of metamucil. we celebrated at croxley ales, which i always here on the radio...some really good stuff there. she opened up her other gifts, which were 2 puzzles from the pate'ster and i---pretty wooden boxes, which is always the make of a fine puzzle. the revelry continued at lavagna where a circa boys don't cry robert smith served us and was stingy w/ the pepper mill. i had the rabbit which was the best thing on the menu. david/simone/pater opted for the fish...the snapper was d'lish...the striped bass, not so much. then we tried to go to chicklalicious which was, of course packed out, and then we just went to some dessert place and had some good gelato.

So this is LA early AM from up on high in Griffith Park, before the smog monster rears it's ugly head. I've decided that I would like to go visit De again...she's thinking Thanksgiving. OK.  

oh my god. the pain and suffering that is bellevue orientation. good news, i've been sneaking out by 2:30-3-ish...bad news, i had to 9:00-2:29/59 to sit through. luckily, i'm catching up on sleep during these sessions and i managed to take extended lunches and buy a new climbing harness and route tape for the rock wall.

got some paintball this weekend. going all the way out to scenic PA, to a wonderland called Skirmish. should be fun...nothing like venting any and all frustrations by shooting your friends with balls of latex. so i'm writing this from my old job and stupified that i have no patients scheduled and i'm still getting paid for being here! i love it!!

so the speakers from my TV blew, any suggestions for a new 32"-36" screen TV that's not ridiculously expensive? and i'm thinking of giving up my PS2 and just getting a real DVD player...i don't play any games on the damn thing and having to use the controller sux.

oh and i need color suggestions for what to paint the kitchen...so bring it on!! the roommate is thinking something in yellow...so help!!
