I think that the snow patrol site let me down b/c i heard nothing of their show at bowery ballroom. and of course now it's sold out and tix are going for ridiculous prices online.

But, Eisley is playing the day after and couldn't pass that up, considering they're 13 bux a pop!! and the whole DuPree family is playing now...check out them out out at myspace.

And let me tell you folks, it was so miserable last year that i just can't wait to do it again this year. of course, this year, there is no way in hell i'm heading to Staten Island. This year, Brooklyn Bridge to South Street Seaport to Radio Mexico for some delish margharitas. nice.

How Bad Do I Want To Do This?

just browsing through my latest issue of Bluff Magazine, do i notice an ad for this new way to blow my tax refund. for 2 days and $1700 plus later, i can learn from the pros and then play in a little tournament to win a seat at a World Poker Tour Event

of course, had i the lack of commitment to school and if the SN would be OK w/ me becoming a gambloholic, i'd have the nuts and be off like a prom dress.

alas this isn't the bizarro universe and i didn't win powerball, but i can dream...all it takes is $1700, a room at Foxwoods and a dream.

Congratulations!!

I am pleased to announce that one of my closest friends from the ole' hood (childhood, that is) is now engaged to his number one Honeybunny. They came all the way up from that savage land known as North Carolina to be with their family and friends to share in this joyous occasion. fortunately, for us, the entire event will take place up here in the savage lands of New Yawk, in the even more savage 'burbs of Long Island.

I am happy for the wonderful couple, and am honored to take part in the big day as one of Mr. Buff's Groomsman.

Hi.

So apparently, the blog was f'd up and so i changed the template. i thought this harbor motif would be fitting and attractive to boating afficionados and dupe them into reading the mindless shite that i spew with every post that oozes from my grey matter.

ummm...so valentine's was nice. well, it started early last week when i took the sexy one to the Phantom of the Opera

It was worse than i remembered! although, SN was kind enough to enjoy it. then i tried to something last friday...which i won't mention...but it involved a lot of running and "carrots". then on the V-day, we went to the Battery Gardens, which was nice...overlooking the sea, Ellis Island and the S of L. the restaurant was nice, was like being on a cruise. but i had the worst headache and got nauseous and wanted to throw up, but i spent so much money...i refused to waste the food.

so what's up? an old friend is coming up, i wonder why??? hmmm...i dare not guess. (really, i already know, but don't want to ruin the surprise)

have you guys seen those XMen 3 posters? how bad does this look? and what a horrible obligation it will be to have to sit through this summer. looks like X-Men: The Musical, don't it?

OK, so must order my copy of Criterion Collection: Metropolitan---love this whole order from BestBuy and pick it up!! the VelvetDe and I have been waiting for this forever!! i can't wait until tomorrow!! and i get a 3 day weekend to enjoy it!!

When Dandruff Attacks!!

In a surprise move, God shakes his most holy locks to loose upon the NYC, 22 inches of the white stuff on us this past weekend. All the jubster and I can say is "woo hoo!!", we love the snow as we spent all sunday morning frolicking around like the crazy dandy boys we are.

I also got to play out my "Leatherface" fantasy as the tree beside our apartment fell onto the street. had the wind blown elsewhere...could've gone into the apartment. so i decided to help out my freaked out landlady and hacked it up horribly and mutilated into tiny little pieces (the tree, not the landlady). it tried to fight me off, but in the end, the chainsaw always wins and the tree had no choice but to take it and die. and to make an example of this tree to deter the other from being insolent, its dismembered carcass lays strewn at the side of our apartment.

Take that Nature!! Man Rules!!!
