saw my sister's apartment today...very, very nice. tall wind'ers, view not so great. parquet flooring, bar/kitchen area...decent sized. she painted a little...nice. bedroom huge. met the dog she might take Miyoki (sp?), akita/lab mix (?) very cute...likes to talk and also hump. apparently skittish around other dogs...but doubt the jubster and duncarino would give him any trouble. sis also got a 27" sony wega for free from her friend...WTF? all in all, kinda weird area...everything is so closed in, right next to a police station, a buddhist temple, a chinese take-out and an irish bar. in the distance a view of ground zero--not even close to tempted to go take a peek. gonna meet up w/ mom and sis tomorrow again...have got to mentally prepare myself for a whole day w/ good 'ole mum. who has gone ballistic on my sis b/c of the gossip...b/c it's all about me mum.
so i am now allowed to say that my sister called off her engagement...b/c her fiance' is a dick. and he apparently has gotten to most of her "friends" (in quotes b/c they haven't even called her to see how she's doing)--telling them that she was having an affair. i am ready to inflict bodily harm...he actually left me a VM the other day. and i know where he lives. a little disappointed about how her friends have seemingly abandoned her...only her close friends know the real deal and have been quite supportive. she's doing quite well despite it all...suppression is an innate Morada trait, taking years to master.
am watching the first belle and sebastian dvd--fans only. i know most of u don't care...but u have to appreciate how talented these scots are despite the twee (which i love). of course, bought the b&s single "step into my office" also bought (!) the debut album from a NY band called the national, a great little album. they've been compared to nick cave and the bad seeds and jarvis cocker (of pulp) in sound and lyric--so u know it's a happy album. almost bought the 1st raveonettes album---but figured i could kazaa it--unless any o' u nice folks would like to lend it to me. weird buying cd's again---only b/c i couldn't find this national album on kazaa or even apple music store.
tackled the rock wall again today...got up green w/ little effort. yellow has begun to the bane of my existence. red...well, won't even talk about red. i'm genetically deficient in the arm reach department and strained my left tricep. of course i'll try it again tomorrow. right after pilates at 8:30am (yikes!)
feel a funk coming on...will try to resist w/ VENTI white mochas.
i have a subway story of my own...eug!
weird thing today at the union square station. i was walking up from the N behind this short woman and some huge fat guy pushing a stroller with a kid in it was walking toward us. now, like a secret document exchange in every spy movie you've ever seen--he handed off the stroller to this woman. didn't even look at each other, just made the hand off and voila!...woman pushing stroller. now does this seem weird to you...or am i just paranoid?

ok...so captain kangaroo passed away this morning at the age of 76. now, without fear of getting hit by ping pong balls...i totally thought he died years ago. i knew mr. green jeans had died and that moose got hit by an SUV last summer i believe. but who knew the captain?
waiting for someone to recite "O Captain, my Captain"

so yesterday's entry was a lame attempt to fill space b/c simone was threatening to de-link me.
i am now the proud owner of a green striped sweater--if ur thinking "how benetton" u would be correct. the recent acquisition of my green striped slumber hat reminded dr. drukman of the matching sweater and brought it in today!
i look like the ham-burglar

I bet we been together for a million years,
And I bet we'll be together for a million more.
Oh, It's like I started breathing on the night we kissed,
And I can't remember what I ever did before.
What would we do baby, Without Us?
What would we do baby, Without Us?
And there ain't no nothing we can't love each other through.
What would we do baby, Without Us?
Sha la la la.
...sit UBU sit...good dog!
woof!
