so i won tickets on KROCK today!!! i'm going to see ...and you will know us by the trail of dead... or trail of dead for short...think of a more guitar oriented, lo-fi, less industrial, trent reznor (at least when he shouts). it's at irving plaza, my fave venue in the world. and it's on sunday!!! should be awesome.
so much good music out too...de and i were discussing all these cool bands out...bloc party, the bravery, dogs die in hot cars, the arcade fire, kasabian, eisley and i actually like straylight run (as recommended by elisa from work)...basically any band that are playing Coachella is good. i wish i could be there...friggin' bauhaus is back together!!
ok, so i joined a yahoo group for the Great Lawn dog people. we're a bunch of concerned dog owners who don't want to get ticketed for having our dogs off leash during NYC park "courtesy hours" (the hours b/wn 9pm and 9am, where we can have our dogs off leash in parks)...it's a courtesy, as it's not actually a law..more along the lines of, the parks commish is a dog lover. so we're trying to write THE MAN to make this courtesy rule a LAW (i'm totally humming, I'M JUST A BILL). so we shall truly see if the pen (or in this case, the keyboard) is mightier than the sword. i feel like that w/ this winning of tix thing...my luck is good...i should have played mega millions...or at least played poker tonite.
