i almost sent the last blue route at my gym. i'm so pissed. luckily, i had some good beta from ari...don't know how much longer i'll be a member here...thinking of switching membership over to city climbers...i'll have access to every NYC park and recreation facility...free tennis, unlimited climbing...it'll be awesome.
so i think i know the reason why i've been so low energy, motivation and irritable lately. de, (who is also in the same mood) told me (as per pauline) that it's mercury retrograde.

then it all began to make sense.

some kooky astrology site explains it as this...(and mind you, the author has been an astrologer for more than 30 years!!, and in prvious incarnations, a poet, musician, magician, healer, dramatist and composer...and he's an aussie...so you know he's the real deal)

"For those of you who don’t know about this astrological “happening,” here’s the lowdown in layman’s terms: The planet Mercury rules communication, travel, contracts, automobiles and such. It goes in a retrograde motion -- or motion that makes it appear to be going backwards in the night sky -- three times a year for approximately three weeks at a time. When Mercury is retrograde, there’s usually much confusion. People forget little things. Delays and frustrations abound. Astrologers recommend against starting anything new when Mercury goes retrograde. But even if you can’t begin new endeavors, you can still put this aspect to good use. You just need to learn to work with the energy of Mercury rather than against it. Let’s explore the pros and cons of this cosmic force and how to wait out this period until Mercury goes forward or “direct.”

DON’T
- Start anything new
- Make important decisions
- Buy computers, appliances, TVs, radios, etc.
- Travel without back-up plans
- Sign contracts
- Buy a car
- Negotiate a contract
- File a lawsuit
- Start a new job
- Begin a new class
- Go on a “first” date
- Expect things to move quickly
- Take anything for granted

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Angrier people
- Crazy drivers
- More accidents
- Miscommunication
- Quarrels
- Computer problems and breakdowns
- Delays
- More mistakes
- Slow mail
- Games of phone tag
- Wrong directions
- Missed appointments
- Dead cell phone batteries

so how was your weekend?

mine was good. went to that crapfest that is The Ring 2. i was reaching for that damn videotape to watch myself in the hope that i could get out of watching this movie. it was directed by the guy who made the original ringu!! what the f' happened?

saturday was my mom's birthday at the Inn at East Wind in beautiful Wading River, Long Island...ironically, the place where my sister was supposed to have her wedding reception...and brought her new boyfriend to. it was fun, there was line dancing some merengue and salsa...so nancy had a good time. the food was ok...there were complaints of the bread being stale and the shrimp not really being shrimp...so we knocked a couple of hundred bucks off the the tip. i wanted to knock off more, but my sister is too merciful.

nancy and i went to her friend's birthday party in queens afterward, where the food was once again good and we had an intense game of taboo...while the movie Saw was playing...so i was quite distracted...it looks pretty good.

sunday...slept most of the day, dragged my ass to the gym eventually...where i fell asleep climbing on the wall. and then fell asleep on the treadmill. but was soon awakened, when i remembered that animal planet was showing that cool Dragons show....which was pretty cool, pater sat there thinking that they really found a dragon in ice...and i told her she was stupid.

i don't know why people make me want to slap them in the face. this morning on the train, i was sitting across from this quite large woman...i mean like balrog big. i open my eyes from my power nap to find her leaning over and yawning...w/ her mouth wide open like she was gonna swallow me...i actually felt being sucked in, because she had such powerful lungs. COVER YOUR DAMN MOUTH!! but if i said that she would have slapped me with her snowshovel mitts she calls hands.

nancy will now blog for the first time in her entire life: HIT IT!!

he is so annoying im soo tired and i dont want to write but here i am writing and the only reason is cause hes so kind to buy me some coffee (editor: and a blueberry coffee cake, THANK YOU). anyway there better be good stuff about me on this blog or this will be his last entry. this computer is also annoying the keys are too soft and my spelling errors increase and i have to back space more and it gets more annoying the more it happens. ok im done now my coffee is here. sorry so whiny today did i say i was tired? bye.

and there you have it. nanchingching's first post. not bad, eh?
