Woo HOo for the big 50 to 60 degrees of weather. even though it's gonna rain the next few days, the fact that i can wear shorts is quite comforting. spent this morning at the tennis courts, practicing serves and majorly sucking. a nice russian (i think) couple (who need some practice) invited me to hit around with them. and just when i thought they were some swinging couple who wanted to fulfill their asian cabana boy fantasy, they asked for some pointers. so i ran a nice little tennis clinic for 1/2 hour, taught them some fundamentals...the tennis bug is beginning to buzz. so tennis people, let me here you...i need a hitting partner!!! don't get me wrong---the rock climbing bug is still in full swing, as i am slowly destroying my body to get a stupid wall.
this month's NY mag has an article about bipolar disorder. if a lot of what the article says rings true...we're all a little bipolar, new yorkers that is. incidence of 1 in 20 in the US becomes 1 in 8 in NYC. this became a minor conversation w/ pater and later w/ deirdre yesterday morning, and we ponder...when does the hi's and low's of life become a diagnosed illness (bipolar I and II, as told by the mag, as opposed to the more serious condition)? does this worry me? not really, although deirdre really, really is pushing me towards therapy--as she is moving to CA and won't conveniently be able to provide that for me.
but i digress, enjoy the nice weather people!!! if this continues, i'm so at rat rock to bust my ass...come join me!!
and there has been much talk about diets lately. not just w/ simmy but basically a lot of my female patients...why? b/c it's springtime--which means prepping for that bikini! i am happy to say that it's been 2 weeks since i've been to mcdonalds. probably only b/c i'm broke and have been packing lunch--but still!!! no fast food!! though i have been fiending for those damn fries. in sad news, mickey d's is phasing out the super size!!! good luck people on your diets. i myself am not eating better out of health concerns but out of financial difficulty, you'll see, once i'm back in the green---it's white castle for me!!!
