IMPORTANT NEWS UPDATE

the dog is fine and we went to pick him up today. luckily, the dog doesn't require drainage and the sutures will melt on their own. poor baby was shivering and i'm just glad he didn't die. that would really, really suck. i wonder if the jubster could have been put down for something like that. can anyone verify?

anyway, in an effort to not kill my dog, i went to focus on something else. that's right, i hit the rock wall. but when that didn't seem to calm my anger, many a guinness and some karaoke really hit the spot! we actually had our first roommate outing, me, taylor, peachy and her friend elaine. we hit some bars, peachy's into this hawaiian thing so we went to the tiki room free food and some stupid valentine's day thing where you pick a different color lai to signify if your single, taken or "freaky". i was extremely drained from having been in that depressing hospital, but my old pal jack D. was there to bring some levity. it was a pretty lame scene so we then hit cinema classics which was 60's nite, things picked up after a couple o' brews. amazing how much of a lightweight taylor is, nursing his beers all nite. i think we all started to loosen up at this point. we, of course, had to bring up why we were all alone on V-day, like we were rejects in some support group (personally, i'm not too broken up about it--i had planned a weekend in vegas with the pate'ster and since we've gone splitsville--i saved me'self the money--of course, only to have that pissed away b/c of the dog---I AM FATE'S FOOL!!!). then we had a breakthrough, what better way to expunge the V-day blues than with some karaoke!!

so in lost in translation style, we found ourselves at sing sing where taylor had an affinity for the britney/christina ballads. very, very scary. me...i'm usually of the neil diamond variety--but went for the 80's stuff, like human league's "don't u want me?" and soft cell's "tainted love". wanted to do "white wedding" so bad!! but it didn't work. elaine and i did a heartwarming rendition of the Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way", avec choreography and everything! peachy was quiet but did do some hula dancing and ended the nite with Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn".

overall, good time had by all...with a possible love connection between elaine and taylor (!) woo hoo! got up at a nice 1pm, only b/c the dogs were harrassing me all morning. i'm $1700 in the hole and trying to figure out what i'm going to eat this week. double woo hoo!

i wish i had off tomorrow.
