man, am i exhausted. threw my back out carrying a giant paint can on july 4th...that was fun. been helping pater out painting her soon to be new apartment which happens to be the first floor of my apartment. she'll practically have 2 places, as she's here most of the time anyway...we have cable, she doesn't.
lost at no-limit hold 'em at simone's, even funner!! but i did break even and that's what counts. but i think tournament play is the wave of the future. i'll host a poker nite very soon. revenge will be mine!! it really comes down to what's said in positively fifth street...when you play a woman, you can't think macho...if you have sucky cards, fold...don't call just b/c a chick just raised you!! lesson learned.
my dad came back from the philippines...car no more. i admit that it spoiled me and will probably have to get one. damn.
so not a lot of people like spiderman 2! too much talking apparently. i thought the movie is the best comic book movie ever made. last time i checked, there was a lot of talking in comic books...isn't that what the white balloons are for. i think there was even an issue of spiderman where he quits b/c he wanted a normal life. while superman was too perfect...batman too freaky----spiderman became popular back in the day b/c he was this angsty, awkward kid---who went through the same problems most kids who read the comic were going through---minus the whole radioactive spider thingy--which kinda complicates things more...and i think the movie portrayed that pretty well. what are comics but really cool soap operas, they both have nonsensical plotlines, inflated sexual tension and women with large breasts (the last 2 almost go hand in hand don't it). so if you haven't seen spiderman already, it's ok...b/c the movie already made a gajillion dollars and they no longer need your money.
bring on the batman i say!!!
