The Lion, The Woman who Broke Her Hand, and the Wardrobe...oh and the STrIKe

So we went to see Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I liked it,didn't love it. It was pretty to watch...the special effects were amazing. YOU WILL BELIEVE A LION CAN SPEAK!!! the kids were annoying...maybe b/c they're british. it was slow in parts and the battle was pretty cool, especially when it was called Helm's Deep, from LOTR: the Two Towers. file it behind harry potter and way behind LOTR.

Went to the Colbert Report, pronounced: Colbear Repor. last nite w/ the sexy one and some friends...thank god he was funny last nite, b/c it makes up for the 2 hours we spent waiting outside, freezing our asses off. Dermot Mulroney was the guest plugging that P.O.S. called The Family Stone and did you know he plays the cello? do you even care? i wouldn't of but Mr. colbert was quite the jokeman. i'll try to get daily show tickets and i'll go to the report again...but i'll wait 'til spring.

This morning, i rose up from the number 6 at park ave to find a woman writhing in pain on the ground clutching her hand. about 5 people walked past her as she cried...nice. so i helped her up, she slipped and fell on her left hand coming up the same stairs. she was screaming, "my hand, my hand...i can't move it!!", i told her to sit and called 911. the sexy one rolls up thinking i was picking up some homeless person but realized what happened and kindly went across the street to a deli to get a little ice for the woman's hand. the deli had the audacity to charge the sexy one, 50 cents for a bag of ice...she, of course, didn't pay it.

the ambulance finally rolled up on park ave...and couldn't find us tucked behind a coffee truck...SN flagged them down. the EMT's said they almost left b/c they didn't see us. they took the woman into the ambulance, we never said goodbye to the old lady. the punchline is that the EMT thanked nancy and joked w/ the driver about how they were gonna leave us flat, if not for the amazing rescuer, nancy--to save the day.

nice. this is what happens when you're w/ the SN.

Oh yeah...and it'll suck if they strike tomorrow. i live far and it's cold outside. the snow and rain doesn't help either.
