So Dad is officially retired as of this past thursday and is enjoying fun in the sun at his estate in the philippines. the man is going to live like an emperor, servants and all. he brought like 50 computers overseas w/ him...he's gonna be the next bill gates. luckily, we'll save muchos dineros on phone calls, b/c he got a nice little webcam and i have my isight, sis will get an isight and we'll be able to see how the nicer half lives over in the land of the funny little island people. so we took advantage of restaurant week and the fam had a little reunion at Naples 45
food was ok, but for 35 bucks...hey, we enjoyed the wine more anyway. so good luck dad w/ the retirement...i give you 2 months before you look for work over there. dad's gots some entrepreneur ideas, very hush, hush...he's gonna be a millionaire now in his elder days. nice.

earlier in the week, the sexy one and i went to one if by land, two if it's restaurant week. it was really good...we both had this organic chix thing but i really like the reisling we had. too bad restaurant week can't go on until valentine's day...though i did find a nice restaurant to go to...i actually have daily show tix that day too...which i'm draggin her to before dinner...b/c i know that i'm not gonna beat the dinner cruise around the city last year anytime soon, especially w/ school looming over---so nice dinner and jon stewart...very romantic.

so some asian actor is upset about a sketch about asians from adam carolla's radio show...here's the blog...the comments are classic. some of these people actually think they're being oppressed and that it's slowing "asian progress". yeah, it's really holding back those doctors, computer software developers, poker players, mathematicians, musical virtuosos, not to mention actors, music groups of the asian persuasion. oh yeah---don't forget, hot asian actresses! ok, w/ the exception of the dalai lama and those falun gong blokes--we must be the least oppressed "minority"--which is a joke considering the 2 highest populated countries are in asia. the sketch is funny b/c it is offensive, but is anyone dying over it? think this actor just upset b/c it's gonna hurt his future gigs...check out his resume--i'm offended by the movies and tv shows he's been in...but you don't see me crying about it.
