Coachella 2004 and it's hot, but it's a dry hot.

arrived in LA last nite (45 min early). jetblue has got to be the best airline ever! not only was i entertained by a hot flight attendant named yuki, she also showered w/ me w/ free coca-cola's and dorito mixes. what more can a guy ask.

woke up at 5:45am, damn jet lag and quietly watched food network until de and eric finally got up at around 9-ish. went for a nice long and hilly walk around the neighborhood. they're a hot skip and a jump from griffith park, which not only the largest municipial park in the country (which has some really cool hiking trails, which will be all done this week) but it is also the home to that observatory that you see in the paula abdul "rush, rush" video, the tom hanks classic "dragnet" and i think part of "charlie's angels 2: full throttle" as well. de pointed out the high school where the carnival climax to "grease" was shot (as well as the movie version of buffy the vampire slayer). the coup de grace was the los feliz pitch and putt where jon favreau and ron livingston play golf in "swingers". de says that a lot of the locations for the movie are around her area. she promises to show me the derby is, which is where jon hooks up w/ heather graham at the end. so cool.

we got some smoothies that rival jamba juice and looked at some cute little dogs up for adoption. miss my damn little dogs!!!

so we're heading out to palm springs in a bit for the Coachella festival...we looked at the schedule and there is too much going on to get everything...but today, we must see radiohead (of course), the pixies, beck was just added, the stills and others, stereolab...i can go on and on. i am neglecting to mention another band that simone may be upset about (but they'll be in NYC in july!!! it will be ok) and this particular band was on Leno last nite...i missed it as i was getting off the plane and passed out before Leno was viewed here. so simmy, what did they play?

ok...apparently i must go and get this In and Out burger today. the name of the place suggests too things...tasty laxative or meat aphrodisiac. i'll let you know.
