OK, so after surviving that ordeal that was the NYC 5 boro bike tour, AKA "i can't believe that i spent over 3 hours waiting in line for a stupid friggin' ferry on staten island...I MEAN, STATEN ISLAND FOR CHRISSAKES!!! the place where rats go to die. it was a nice relaxing ride up 'til brooklyn bridge. but going to staten island...sounds sexy. plus, we didn't get to go to astoria, b/c we started later because of the rain. but i was very proud of the nanster, she did the whole thing, bridges and all. simone's took some nice pics and there's even video of me here. in conclusion: never go to staten island...'tis a silly place. and if you do the bike tour...STOP at brooklyn bridge...go over the nice bridge and hit seaport for some nice margherita's at radio mexico.
oh wait...family guy LIVE, on saturday. (geek warning) FREAKIN' SWEET! some trivia: 1. family guy, the only cancelled tv show to ever get re-picked up by the same network, 2. family guy, the only cancelled tv show to ever get re-picked up by the same network because of the fans, oh yeah...i think DVD helped a little bit...there were 4 million reasons as to why the show has returned. the main cast was all there, seth green, mila kunis, alex borstein to name a few...all making dirty jokes and cursing and everything!!! seth mcfarlane...the creator, does like 5 voices on the show, and it was surreal to watch him change character. a fun nite was had by all. there was a Q&A after they did a reading of "to live and die in dixie" and couple of songs from their new album and a sneak preview of the new episode (which i missed on sunday b/c of the aforementioned trip to hell that is staten island). Q&A: geekfest 2005...as appreciative as the cast all was that fan support got their jobs back...you could tell they were clenching their jaws at some the most stupid questions ever recorded since cro-magnon man pondered the question "can i drink my own pee?" (i'm paraphrasing, of course). overall, i laughed, i cried..."better than gremlins, better than ET" (just in case you don't know, that's from a commercial for CATS..."now and forever, at the winter garden theater"
i watch too much TV.
