The Triboro Poker Open 2006

Just change the engraving to Astoria, Queens and change WSOP to TPO and we'll be all set.

No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Results ($10 buy-in, 1000 chips), 8 players, 7 in games 2/3

Game 1: 1st place: Me! 2nd: G.
Game 2: 1st place: G. 2nd: MS.
Game 3. 1st place: Me! 2nd: K

Highlights:

early in the game, me and player A. went all in with pocket rockets (A,A) a piece...split pot of course. at least 3 split pots occurred all evening. Player R. holding a flush loses to the boat of Player M. In game 2, the first hand of the game!!!! player M. calls an all in by Player A.****Player A. holds cowboys (K,K) whilst M. holds american airlines (A,A) and loses via M. completing her set (3 o' kind) on the turn...A. goes out in the first hand, plays dealer for the remainder!! I went out midgame game two with a bad beat holding 2 pair (A's over 9's) to a diamond flush on the river.

notables:

sexy nan held herself quite well, holding her own on 4 all-in attempts until going bust on the 5th attempt...must of been the sunglasses. we'll be seeing her again in the future.

player A. proves that he is not a cheater by busting out all 3 games.

Player K., took a beating being the big stack through most of game 3, losing to me who was short stacked during most of the game, coming up slowly and steadily robbing blinds and successful semi-bluffs. last hand of the evening, blinds at 300/600. all in pre-flop w/ A/6 diamonds vs. player K.'s K/9--i win w/ a diamond flush on the river!

Player MS. played crazy loose aggressive all 3 games and held her own through all three but fatigue set in by the end of game 2.

The Poker Oscar goes to Player M with her spectacular performance of hating every hand she had...A/K, K/K, A/10 etc.

overall, fun time had by all...we were distracted through game 2 when a collision occurred right outside...luckily, no one was hurt and Astoria's finest responded in record time---12 minutes!!! good going boys.

this posting is for you rick!! we miss you, your crazy loose super aggressive playing style...and of course, you're money.

lol, thanks for that.. this is the reason why i miss playing. playing with the flip crew and playing with the LIPT crew on the island.
what you should realize is that my super loose aggressive has a method of madness.
not only to drop money which is a stupid thing. but to watch the players as well. if i keep raising when i am on the blind, i want to weed out the players before the flop. anybody who calls my raise preflop tells me they have a face card. and when a face card shows on the flop, i watch the players. an inexperience player will look at the flop and glance at his 2 hole cards and start playing with his chips before his turn to act.
EAGERNESS = he has something.
you get it now?
