X-Men: The Last Stand...Sucks.

you knew it would, i knew it would. overall, they tried to fit in too much and what you get is an incoherent mess. sure, if you didn't grow up reading the comics, then you might actually enjoy it.

for the rest of us...this is the Batman & Robin of the X-Men series...OK, so not that bad, how 'bout Batman Forever???
They really wanted to make this the last XMEN movie, b/c Ratner just decided "hey, let's destroy as many characters as we can while trying to fit in popular story archs from the comics and see what happens"...it's like lending your ant farm to your sadistic little neighbor...you watch him shake it and then blow up w/ M-80's.

i won't give you any spoilers, though i would be doing you a favor. overall, the only people who get anything to do are the two that got paid the most to be there...Halle and Hugh. This might as well have been the Wolvie and Storm show with their theme song ending with
"...and the rest!"

all the talk of Wolverine finally berserking...underwhelming...he looked more perturbed then berserked.

everyone else were underutilized, underdeveloped, or six feet under.

OH, and the surprise at the end of the credits...not so surprising.

a craptacular time was had by all. though i think the Sexy One found it entertaining...but she was a big fan of the cartoons, which i hated---except for the time the XMen were on Spiderman and His Amazing Friends...and that one-shot, Pryde of the X-Men.

and don't get me started on the whole "Dark Phoenix" fiasco.
