Rain and Volleyball

phew. to stand out in the pouring rain on a sunday morning at 11am waiting just to sign up to play open volleyball with the Urban folk, should be considered lunacy. but with about 100 others waiting outside it's religious. but my dampness paid off as i was able to score a spot on the Intermediate court, one that has a real net and is regulation. i was psyched and played well, as i setter for the day and didn't have to hit, which is better for me old bones anyway.

unfortunately, it's the last sunday open play until october...i'm going to now have to take a free friday to get my v-ball fix. it's ok, plus the people i played with said that they play in central park too and invited me out there to play whenever i get the itch. so it's all good, considering i will be a hermit, come school time.

was out on the island again, this time for mary's b-day and for a christening. both were fine, was sad that i didn't get to play some poker but that will be fixed in a couple o' weeks. and i'll be hosting poker nite, mid may--stay tuned.

thank god--this weekend, i'll be based out here for a change, though the activities scheduled is starting to fill up. hopefully the weather will be quite grand and i can frolic in my sundress. tralalalalalalala!! ok, maybe just spandex instead of the sundress.
